Why has Booth Park been identified for a netball facility?
On the 19 May 2021, Council resolved that Booth Park be identified as an alternate site for the relocation of Kurri Kurri Netball Courts (currently located at 101 Maitland Street, Kurri Kurri).
How is the concept plan being funded?
Council was successful with funding via the NSW Government’s Resources for Regions grant program to undertake a business case, concept plan and detailed designs to Development Application level for a new netball facility at Booth Park.
Has the community been given the opportunity to give feedback on the plans?
A community meeting was held on 16 June 2022 on site during the public exhibition period providing an opportunity for impacted stakeholders to talk to Council staff and the consultants who prepared the draft concept plan.
