Information

Council is asking for your input on two additional draft amended chapters of the Development Control Plan (DCP) that focus on parking and access and subdivisions. Further information regarding the chapters can be found below:

Draft Parking and Access Chapter - Click to view

The current Parking and Access chapter is considered out of date, inadequate and does not address contemporary parking and access policy.

The DCP provides planning and design rules for developers and landowners to use when preparing a development application (DA). The DCP is also used by council staff and the elected Councillors when making decisions about Development Applications (DAs). It was last reviewed in 2010/2011.

The DCP review is taking place in different stages, separated by chapters. Further information about chapters that have already been on public exhibition can be viewed on the right hand side of this page under the Related Projects heading.

Subdivision Chapter - Click to view

A review of the subdivision chapter in the DCP has been undertaken principally to align the chapter with council’s new Engineering Guidelines for Design and Construction.

As part of this review, administrative updates including references to legislation or names of government departments, as well as minor changes related to controls for on-site sewer management systems are also proposed.
