Draft Cemeteries Strategy 2026
Council is updating its Cemeteries Strategy to help guide the future planning, management and provision of cemetery services across the Cessnock Local Government Area.
As part of early engagement, Council is seeking feedback from the general community to better understand local connections to cemeteries, current experiences and future needs. This includes views on interment options, cultural and religious considerations, cemetery features and potential improvements.
Feedback received through this survey will help inform the preparation of the draft updated Cemeteries Strategy, ensuring it reflects community values, changing needs and long-term planning considerations.
Participants may also choose to leave their contact details to be notified when the draft Cemeteries Strategy is placed on public exhibition.
