Consultation has concluded
About the project
The Urban Growth Management Plan (UGMP) provides a policy framework for the delivery of land for urban purposes. It benchmarks the amount of existing residential land in three lifestyle categories (Established Urban, Commuter Urban and Village Lifestyle) and monitors the uptake and release of land each year. When land supply in any one category falls below 15-years, the investigation of those areas nominated in the plan can commence.
The UGMP ensures that Council maintains an active land supply pipeline and provides certainty and transparency about when and where new land resources will be investigated.
The revised Plan publishes the new land supply thresholds, updates the forecasted growth, includes the (former) Golden Bear and Vintage Developments in Village Lifestyle category, corrects some mapping errors and makes some minor amendments to the apportionment between the three categories. It also identifies three priority investigation sites along Main Road Cliftleigh.
The original UGMP was adopted in October 2021. The interim review has been drafted to respond to sustained higher growth levels and updated forecast figures.
