At its meeting of 13 December 2023, Council resolved to exhibit proposed amendments to its Heritage, Contaminated Land and Climate Change Policy.
The revisions to the policies do not propose any wholesale changes to the scope, intent, nor operation of each policy. A summary of the revisions to each of the policies is outlined below:
Contaminated Lands Policy:
Revision to reflect current legislation and definitions;
The Revised Strategic Planning Policies will be on public exhibition from 29 January 2024 to 29 February 2024 and submissions are invited from the community.

The personal information (e.g. Name, address and contact details) provided in your submission is being collected in the processing of your submission relating to the Revised Strategic Planning Policies. The information collected will be used for the purpose outlined, related administrative functions, compliance and complaint handling, internal auditing, and in accordance with Council's Privacy Management Plan and Privacy Statement which can be found on Council's website.

Consequence of non-provision
If you do not supply your personal information, Cessnock City Council cannot receive the submission or update you on the progress of the Draft Hunter Valley Destination Management Plan.
Disclosure
Your information may also be disclosed to the NSW Department of Planning and Environment, and any other relevant public agency that has an interest in the Draft Hunter Valley Destination Management Plan.
