Council applied for two grants under the 2020-21 NSW Floodplain Management Program
Design and Construction of the Cessnock Urban Area Stage 1 Flood Warning System; and
Design and Construction of the Swamp-Fishery Creek Flood Warning System.

Council advised that both applications were successful.
Resilience NSW and Commonwealth Government jointly funding both projects under their 2020-21 Natural Disaster Resilience Program’s Floodplain Management Grants Scheme, administered by DPIE.
