Cessnock City Council has prepared a Planning Proposal which relates to 259 & 261 Averys Lane Buchanan (Lot 10 DP 1085485).
The Planning Proposal seeks to
rezone part of Lot 10 DP 1085485 known as 259 & 261 Averys Lane Buchanan, from RU2 Rural Landscape to R2 Low Density Residential and C2 Environmental Conservation;
amend the minimum lot size map from 40 Ha to 450m² for that area of Lot 10 DP 1085485 zoned R2 Low Density Residential and amend the minimum lot size map from 40Ha to 80Ha for that area of Lot 10 DP 1085485 zoned C2 Environmental Conservation; and
map that part of Lot 10 DP DP 1085485 zoned R2 Low Density Residential as an Urban Release Area (URA).
The Planning Proposal will enable residential subdivision of the land zoned R2 Low Density Residential.
Council has been granted authorisation to exercise local plan-making authority functions in relation to the Planning Proposal.
The Planning Proposal is on exhibition from 21 December 2022 until 10 February 2023. The exhibition material can be viewed at the following locations:
Council’s Administrative Building (Customer Relations desk);
Submissions should be addressed to The General Manager and submitted by 5:00pm on 16 December 2022. Please quote “18/2020/4/1 – Planning Proposal – 259 & 261 Averys Lane”.
Any views expressed in written submissions will be considered by Council before a final decision is made on whether or not the draft plan should be made. Please make sure you have read and understand Council's Privacy Notice (below) before making a submission.
