Project Information
Notice is given that Cessnock City Council in accordance with the New South Wales Roads Act 1993 is seeking public comment in regards to a road naming proposal located at 71 Branxton Street, Greta NSW 2334.
The proposal names are located within Greta and include;
- Quarry Street. Road Name Origin: Named to reflect the presence of historic underground mine works within the site, with quarrying interpreted as a form of mining associated with material extraction.

Should you intend to make a submission in writing you, may do so by 5:00pm on May 21 May 2026. Please quote “Revised Road Naming Application - 71 Branxton Street, Greta”. In your submission include which specific road name you are writing within the Magnolia Rise Precinct in relation to. Submissions should be addressed to The General Manager and can be submitted via:

Any views expressed in written submissions will be considered by Council before a final decision is made.
