Notice is given that Cessnock City Council in accordance with the New South Wales Roads Act 1993 is seeking public comment in regards to a road naming proposal in connection with changing the name of Church Street, Branxton.

This change is due to the proximity of Church Street, Branxton to Church Street, East Branxton which does not comply with NSW road naming standards. It is important to note that the change does not affect the addressing of any properties as this is a laneway with no infrastructure or dwellings.

The proposal name includes;

Paterson Lane, Branxton

Proposed Road Name History

The road names have been selected as it is reflective of the settler of this area; William Paterson
