    What is this going to cost me?

    The Domestic Waste Service Charge in your rates covers your complete waste service (bins and vouchers). Fees and charges for FY25/26, including the Domestic Waste Service charge, will be detailed in our four-year Delivery Plan. The Delivery Plan is anticipated to go on public exhibition in April.

    Cessnock, alongside Maitland and Singleton councils, is preparing to roll out food organic recycling from the week commencing 30 June 2025.


    How did community feedback inform the draft strategy?

    Last year from October - November we got feedback from the Community online and in person via the Waste Survey. The feedback from the survey then was used to inform the creation of the Draft Strategy Document.
