Project Information
This is an amendment to clause 7.11 of the Cessnock Local Environmental Plan 2011 to increase the number of residential dwellings on the Lovedale Integrated Tourist Development site from 300 to 640.
The Lovedale Integrated Tourist Development (formerly ‘Golden Bear’) is the area across Wine Country Drive opposite the Vintage Development. The controls that apply to the site require an integrated tourist development that includes permanent residential dwellings, tourist uses and a golf course.
Clause 7.11 of the Cessnock Local Environmental Plan limits both residential dwellings and tourist-accommodation units to 300 each. This planning proposal proposes to increase the number of residential dwellings from 300 to 640. The additional dwellings will include a variety of dwelling types.
The golf course is an important part of this development. So, there is a specific clause added to ensure that this is completed in the first stage.
